The wolf, the chicken and the lion – A didactic story with many recipients

One day the chicken said to the wolf: “The grass is blue.”

The wolf replied: “Of course not, the grass is green.”

The discussion did not end and the two of them decided to submit it to arbitration before the King of the Jungle….

When they reached the clearing of the forest where the lion was sitting on his throne, the chicken spoke first and asked him: “Your Highness, tell us, is it not true that the grass is blue?”

The lion replied, “Right, the grass is blue.”

The chicken continued: “The wolf disagrees with me and bothers me, please punish him.”

The king then declared: “Wolf, you will be punished with 5 years of silence”.

The chicken jumped happily and continued on her way, repeating triumphantly: “The grass is blue and I was justified in my beliefs by the last judge!”

The wolf accepted the punishment imposed on him by the king of the jungle – to remain silent for 5 years – but before leaving, he asked the lion. “Your Majesty, you punished me but I do not understand why, cause  everyone knows that the grass is green.”

The lion replied: “Yes, wolf, the truth is that the grass is indeed green, but your punishment has nothing to do with it but that it is not possible for such a brave, proud and intelligent creature like you to waste time unnecessarily of being involved in silly conversations with a chicken and on top of wasting my own time and bothering me with such a silly question “.

ETHICAL LESSON: Those of you who choose to engage in endless discussions and disagreements on a daily basis, first check who you are talking to. You can waste your time with “chickens”.
