Mdina is Malta’s historic capital. It is also known as the “Silent City”.

What is remarkable about the city is that there is one of the most shocking museums in the world: the museum of torture, which is actually an old prison, known as “The Mdina Dungeons”.
In Mdina, still live descendants of nobles from the Normandy, Sikel, and Spanish families once lived in the area.
The images inside the museum are extremely striking, very sad, but also important for humanity to never forget how cruel human nature can be. Something we should definitely avoid doing again…
